As the Puerto Rican Heritage Society continues to make a comeback following the Covid-19 pandemic, our non-profit board of directors have decided to open enrollment into our organization for the month of July 2023.

Becoming a member means joining a sisterhood of professional women who strive to promote and maintain the Puerto Rican culture and traditions alive in San Antonio. Becoming a member also means promoting personal and career development through educational opportunities for students in and around San Antonio. Along with attending quarterly meetings, members can experience volunteer opportunities within the organization, early access to our non-profit’s events and an invitation to our annual members-only holiday party.

New candidates interested in becoming a member should submit an application, a short biography, a $75 membership fee and list the reasons for wanting to become a member of the Puerto Rican Heritage Society. The membership fee will be refunded if the organization is unable to process the application for any reason. Former Puerto Rican Heritage Society members looking to re-join must also fill out an application and pay last year’s $75 membership dues, as well as the current year’s $75 membership dues.

All applications must be received by Monday, July 31, 2023. Applications can be submitted by postal mail or e-mail. If sending by postal mail, candidates can send the application and check payable to:

Sociedad Herencia Puertorriqueña (SHP)

P.O. Box 460206

San Antonio, TX 78246

If sending by e-mail, candidates can e-mail their application to our Membership Chair, Maria Perez at mtperez58@swbell.net and copy hola@coquisa.org.
